‘Emblems of hope’
We are proud to exhibit our new art installation by Ruth Piper. The artwork is hung, and can be viewed on our first floor dining area.
About Ruth’s art…
The central themes of Ruth’s work explore dreamlike notions of transition and transformation that link to both a physical and psychological experience of place and belonging.
The next paragraph comes from Ruth Piper’s website directly…
”We are creatures of our environment, shaped by climate and geology, in transit from moment to moment adapting to the demands of our immediate surroundings. Limited by our vision at any one moment, we only know what we can see and feel. Events beyond our vision are anecdotal and can only be imagined. We are alone but vulnerable to a collective unconsciousness, that causes constant tiny shifts in our constructed axis of reality.”
Ruth’s recent paintings, hung in our restaurant, are ’emblems of hope’, a meditation on human extinction exploring imaginary landscapes of post human habitation.
